In 2018, Atlanta Emerging Markets, Inc. partnered with Sara Blakely Foundation for round two of the Civic Impact Loan Fund. The second round of the Fund supported four businesses from the Civic Women’s Residency, a leadership and business development program for women social entrepreneurs in Atlanta. All fellows have developed a model that tackle a specific social challenge, have the potential for scale/sustainability, and demonstrate measurable social or economic impact.
The Dharma Project received a $45,000 loan from the Civic Impact Loan Fund to scale the business. Specializing in healthy self-care initiatives, The Dharma Project provides mindfulness and yoga to communities and organizations that experience high levels of stress and/or trauma.
