The Cockentrice Butcher Shop and Restaurant, an affiliate of the Spotted Trotter restaurant located in the Kirkwood neighborhood of Atlanta, received a $100,000 small business loan to open a charcuterie, butcher shop, and restaurant in the newly developed Krog Street Market in Inman Park. The shop and restaurant specialize in local, farm to table, meats and cheeses with an emphasis on culinary education and transparency. The loan funds were used for leasehold improvements at their new location and for the purchase of machinery and equipment. The restaurant and shop created over 50 jobs for Atlanta residents.
