Southside Medical Center

In 2014, AEMI completed a $10,000,000 NMTC transaction with Southside Medical Center to refinance existing debt and make improvements to their main campus. Southside Medical’s main center, located in the Peoplestown neighborhood of Atlanta, offers a wide range of primary care services, including; family medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, specialty care and other services such as housing and transportation assistance, counseling, and pharmacy. The community health facility serves over 21,000 patients annually and over 55% of all patients have incomes at or below the poverty level. 51% of all patients are also uninsured. New Markets Tax Credits funding will help the Main Center to increase their capacity and number of patients served to over 32,000 annually.
