MOVING IN THE SPIRIT

In 2018, AEMI closed on a $8,500,000 transaction to finance the building and support the growth of Moving in the Spirit, a creative youth development program that helps at-risk children and teens develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills. Located at the Edgewood-Candler Park MARTA Station, Moving in the Spirit plans to build a 21,500 sf community arts center. By fostering positive experiences, relationships, and environments, this expansion will help serve numerous low-income youth in Metro Atlanta. The new facility will create a larger space for the program, increasing the capacity to serve 500 youth and reach thousands from the broader community through performances, events, and access to meeting space.
