In 2018, AEMI provided a $67,000 loan to Meatball and Salsa to build a neighborhood grocery and lounge in the Grant Park neighborhood of Atlanta. Supporting holistic community development initiatives, the loan will help finance the building renovation and will provide equipment and working capital. Meatball and Salsa will create 15 jobs for the City and will provide the neighborhood with affordable, quality grocery products.
In 2019, AEMI increased the loan amount to Meatball and Salsa by $27,200. The additional funds will help complete the building renovation, provide working capital, linens, licenses, and small kitchen ware.
