In 2018, AEMI provided a $250,000 contribution to The JumpFund, a women-led, early stage, “angel” investment fund with a focus on investing in female-led growth ventures. The JumpFund aims to provide greater access to capital for emerging growth companies owned, operated and/or led by a woman or women.
In 2014, JumpFund I invested in 18 female-led companies across the Southeast. JumpFund II aims to raise a $7 million fund for women-led ventures. The JumpFund has an average initial investment size of $100-150K, with smaller, seed investments in very early stage companies through partner accelerator programs, as well as, larger, follow-on investments with later stage companies. The JumpFund invests across industries, but predominantly in technology, life sciences and consumer goods.
