In 2017, AEMI closed on an $11,000,000 NMTC transaction to finance the conversion and expansion of a vacant office building into Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School. Cristo Rey provides high-quality, college preparatory education and serves low-income high school students of all faiths. The program will service 600 low-income students and their families while offering financial aid and providing every student the opportunity to share one full-time equivalent job with other students through a Corporate Work Study Program. Cristo Rey aims to provide a high-quality, low-cost education with emphasis on enrolling in and graduating from a four-year college. Located in Downtown Atlanta, the 70,000-square foot building will incorporate energy and water efficiency design to minimize energy usage. The project is a recipient of “Grants to Green” Assessment and Implementation. For more information visit www.cristoreyatlanta.org.
