AEMI provided NMTC financing to the Center of Civil and Human Rights to construct a new 42,000 square foot cultural and educational center. The $68,000,000 project provides exhibition space, conference facilities, performance space, and retail space to support an educational curriculum and global outreach program focused on civil and human rights issues. The Center provides educational and cultural programming to 350,000 visitors annually, including 100,000 students primarily from Atlanta Public Schools. In addition, the Center for Civil and Human Rights provides free admission opportunities to disadvantaged populations and Title I Schools.
